What We Are Looking ForThis position represents a key member of a multi-discipline team that adds value to the asset through capital reinvestment and application of solid reservoir management skills. This position works in concert with team reservoir engineers, geologists, production/facility engineers and field operations to identify, develop, and execute non-miscible CO2 injection and other enhanced oil recovery projects for operations in the Yates Field Unit. Position level is commensurate with experience and skill sets. A hybrid schedule is available. What You Will DoDemonstrated ability to use petroleum engineering principles to solve problems and identify enhancement opportunities.Experience in reservoir development practices including, but not limited to, identification of development drilling, workover opportunities (including horizontal wells), reservoir surveillance and performance forecasting.Ability to make technical and economically sound recommendations with not all data/information available.Good overall practical oilfield operations knowledge.Ability to improve the profitability of a field using reservoir analysisUnderstanding of oil and gas finance in relation to reserves and economicsAbility to understand typical well-logging suitesFlooding processes exposure. Waterflood and/or CO2 flood experience a plusExperience in developing technical documents such as AFEs, economic analysis, presentations to management, etc. (written and verbal skills)What You NeedThis position is geared towards an engineer with 3-15 years of experience. However, a technically strong and committed candidate with less experience may be considered.Currently living in, or willing to move to Midland, TXGood time management skills.
