What is Magic Toucan?

Magic Toucan is dedicated to sharing stories that inspire action in others.  Originating from an idea during an early morning coffee in Los Angeles in 2012, Brinton Duncan (founder), quickly jotted it down.  It was to create short documentaries that visually show an artist’s creative process, with their voice in the background sharing their inner processes that led them to their art.  This is currently seen all over the internet in different platforms, styles and formats.

Lying dormant many years, Brinton later traveled to the Amazon Rainforest in South America, which reawakened this dream in 2016.  Walking by the river, he met a couple that created art so unique that he felt compelled to share it.  Just a few weeks later, the name, Magic Toucan, was born (see story below).  Brinton’s hopes were to help fund the creation of artist videos by actually purchasing and reselling the artist’s work, which directly supported the artist’s families.

This has been a huge undertaking and learning process that has far exceeded anything he could have imagined, further deepening his understanding of relationships, trade, imports/exports, retail, storytelling, website creation, travel, Spanish, and so on.

We hope to see Magic Toucan evolve into a video library and community of artists and entrepreneurs, with products for sale that directly support artists from around the world, as well as a growing archive of videos and content, and to further align with organizations that have similar values.

It’s important to note that Magic Toucan is in its early stages of development and the company will continue to change in order to adapt to market and consumer needs.

We are currently seeking partners, charitable causes, and sponsors.  Please send us an email if you feel called to.

Thank you for your support!

Amazon Jungle - Iquitos, Peru

A moment ago, I saw my first toucan in the wild fly marvelously into a tree with its spectacular neon colors and large beak that rivaled the size of its torso. It lasted a matter of seconds. I waited in silence for another glimpse. It flew into a different tree just a few minutes, followed by a second even more beautiful one.

The jungle brings magic… not just in shapes and sizes in the physical realm, but a sense of calm went through my body with a certain message: *each moment is magic and has unlimited potential, but there’s just one opportunity for the beauty in front of you to ignite your mind.

The beauty of the toucan was just one opportunity to marvel in its presence. Too many times I wake up thinking there’s always tomorrow to get done what I could otherwise do now. But even in just a moment everything can change. If you wait too long, you may miss running into that person that could open up the door to your dreams. Or if you don’t appreciate each moment with whomever you’re sharing it, you may look back in regret. Whatever you’re doing NOW… Stop and take a breath… Be thankful for the moment and who’s in your life. I’m thankful for you.
